In the waning days of the Sakura Shogunate, two prodigies were born under the same blood moon—Raiken and Ayame, siblings trained in the art of the blade and heirs to their clan’s sacred duty: guarding the Spirit Gate that separates the mortal realm from the corrupted underworld.

But ambition whispered to Ayame. Promised eternal power by an ancient demon sealed behind the gate, she betrayed her brother, murdered their master, and shattered the seal. The lands plunged into chaos as demonic machines spilled into the world, fusing steel with ancient spirits.
